A couple of friends and I booked a flight to Lisbon at the start of the semester and I couldn't believe how fast time has flow by when it was time to pack for a weekend in Lisbon. Upon Googling the weather forecast for Portugal, I did not anticipate how beautiful the weather was going to be. IT WAS 20 DEGREES. NO CLOUDS, SUNNY AND BEAUTIFUL. I could wear a t-shirt and skirt without a jumper and feel the sun on my skin; soak in some vitamin D unlike England where the D is pretty much non existent (take it whichever way you like). For the smallest capital city in the world, it was incredible. So calm and quiet, even in the touristy areas, it wasn't overcrowded or swarmed with bodies which I found extremely refreshing. Lisbon is built on 3 levels of elevation, and almost everything is inclined hence, it can be *quite* steep. There are lots of stairs, and a buttload of hills. It doesn't help at all that the roads are cobblestone, so wear proper shoes in Lisbon ladies and gentleman! No thong business. Sorry, flip flops. How I trekked through this city in a tight skirt is beyond me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I saw little old ladies hiking up them hills with ease and had one of many realisations of how astronomically unfit I am, I guess one class of Zumba a week just doesn't cut it.
The first night we were here, we went exploring around town just to get a feel of the city. We discovered outside bars along the roads, and watched people danced (namely men and women between the ages of 30 and 50 - shout out to the middle aged man tearing up the d-floor to Jump Around) to remixed top 40 hits and having the time of their life. We were quite knackered at this stage, so we decided to go back the following night. Unfortunately, no remixed top 40 hits were played but we sipped on sangria whilst watched people salsa dance which was just as good.
Breakfast - chicken, tomato and cheese toastie w orange and passionfruit juice
View from an observation deck in Belem - only 2 euros for students!
Obligatory bathroom selfies, of course

Famous Portugese pastries - tastes a lot like Chinese egg tarts
Until next time x
Also, Canada doesn't have jellyfish? What?
